The Healing Mural, located on the walls of the Port Adelaide Visitors Centre, is a visual recording of the history of the Port River and its surroundings, and represents a timeline between the past and future.
The Healing Mural brochure produced by the City of Port AdelaIde and Enfield describes many of the symbols depicted in the mural:
“Kaurna men and women are symbolised by footprints through the mangroves, along with kangaroo prints. Various flora and fauna are represented to help us imagine what the area might have looked like before colonisation.
