The Foundation has secured a $2,500 SA Community Grant for Science Week 2018.
Three events are planned:
Beach Discovery Trail, Taperoo Beach, Sunday August 12th
Check out the variety of shellfish on the Beach, with members of the Malacological Society SA on the beach to assist with shellfish identification.
Who Lives Here: Science meets Art in the Estuary, Port Community Arts Centre, Sunday August 19th and 26th
Attend 25-minute sessions to learn about the ecology of the Port River and Barker Inlet Estuary e.g. mud, shellfish, seagrass, samphires, mangroves from environmental consultant, Faith Coleman and/or work with multi-media artist, Kaz Pedersen to create a clay impression artwork (August 19th) or a hand printed calico bag or poster (August 26th).
