monitoring seagrass in Port River

The seagrass monitoring team, after waiting some weeks for fine weather, headed out in their kayaks on Monday, August 13th.

While their efforts monitoring near the Quarantine Station were successful, the tides didn’t allow them to check our most northern sites, near The Cutting, at the top of Torrens Island.

It’s a process of trial and effort to establish a successful methodology.

There’s been interest shown by more potential volunteers and we anticipate training and inducting new volunteers in October.
