ECF’s Seagrass Monitoring Team went to check on seagrass (Zostera) by the Torrens Island jetty on January 21st and were thrilled to find the seagrass so extensive and healthy.
This was really heartening since January 2019 was so hot and dry, in our first summer of regular monitoring by kayak.
A further check along the eastern side of Torrens Island, by boat on February 2nd at low tide, showed that Zostera was readily visible and seemed to be doing well across our monitoring sites.
