Approvals secured for shoreline protection trial

The Foundation is now several steps closer to being able to deliver its Inner Harbour shoreline protection trial in front of New Port Quays.

ECF has secured Development Approval (see City of Port Adelaide Enfield_Decision Notification Form) from Council and a Ministerial Permit from PIRSA.

ECF has recently applied to the Department for Environment to translocate mangrove seedlings from Mutton Cove.

The trial aims to create a small intertidal shellfish reef, and to translocate mangrove seedlings, to lessen wave impact on the shoreline.
