Labyrinth inspired by a mangrove propagule

ECF is collaborating with Louise Mason, Learning with Labyrinths to develop three labyrinths in the Port Adelaide area, to offer mindful experiences of being in Nature.

Two of the proposed labyrinths – a Painted Labyrinth by the Folklore Cafe and a Coastal Native Food Plants Labyrinth at Roy Marten Reserve at Taperoo – require capital funds and so grant applications are being made for those.

The third proposed labyrinth is inspired by a mangrove propagule (baby mangrove) for pop-up labyrinth events at Garden Island. Water based paints are used in a line marker hand made by Mike Crampton. Permits are sought from Renewal SA for temporary use of the area.

The Nature Festival provided a perfect opportunity to offer a guided Labyrinth Walk on Sunday September 26th at Garden island.
