Video highlights are now available from the presentation, by Todd Miller of the North Carolina Coastal Federation, Working Together for a Healthy Coast: The Best Defence Against Our Changing Climate.

Todd was in Adelaide as a keynote speaker at the 19th International Conference on Shellfish Restoration and kindly addressed a public meeting in Port Adelaide, convened by the Estuary Care Foundation.

Todd addressed the ways in which stormwater can be returned to the landscape and provided examples of Living Shoreline projects that help protect estuary environments. Costings were provided that showed that low impact design projects for shoreline protection can be cheaper than conventional engineering solutions.

Many thanks to Jennifer Hiscock who filmed and edited Todd’s presentation.
